A More Beautiful World: Frances Benjamin Johnston and the New American Garden

Sam Watters is an independent writer and lecturer on the American house and garden prior to 1930. Educated at Yale University, the University of Marseilles and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, Sam is the author of books, articles and essays on wide ranging subjects from cactus theft in the Mojave desert to childrens' asylums in the 19th century. He lectures widely both here and abroad.
